Resumo
A crise climática global vem trazendo inúmeros desafios para o planejamento urbano contemporâneo, exigindo novas abordagens voltadas para o entendimento das suas causas e efeitos nas cidades. O uso de informações geoespaciais é uma estratégia importante para o mapeamento e interpretação do território que vem sendo impulsionado com o uso da Inteligência Artificial (IA). O objetivo deste trabalho é demonstrar como a IA vem sendo implementada para aperfeiçoar a geração e interpretação de imagens geradas por Sensoriamento Remoto (SR). O uso da IA tem grande potencial de contribuir para suprir uma lacuna nos métodos de análise do território urbano que é a gestão de métricas e indicadores de sustentabilidade, ampliando a capacidade de diagnóstico e intervenção. Foi realizada uma revisão de literatura sobre as interações entre IA e SR e elaborado um diagrama-síntese com as principais aplicações urbanas desta combinação, enfatizando aspectos de sustentabilidade. Como conclusão, destacamos contribuições no diagnóstico de grandes volumes de imagens e desafios na automatização de respostas acríticas sem a devida interpretação.
